    The first lunar landing occurs in July 1969 with the Apollo Eleven. This is the most known solar expedition. Participants include Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. The most famous quote is said by Armstrong, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

    The Apollo Twelve mission was the first lnding at a prechosen spot on the moon. This paved the way for more scientific landings as the pilots could land at their chosen spot too collect samples, etc. Alan Bean, Richard Gordon, and Charles Conrad all helped out.
