High School and College Basketball
In high school, MJ was deemed too short to play varsity basketball. He only played his junior and senior years averaging 25.4 points and eventually signed with the University of North Carolina to play college. In 1983, MJ led the Tar Heels to the NCAA National Championship where he would hit his famous game-winner against Georgetown. In his sophomore and junior years, he was selected player of the year and selected to the NCAA All-American First Team. He declared for the draft in 1984. -

Jordan was invited to the 1992 Summer Olympics where they would win every game by around 40 points. They would become the "dream team." -
1992 NBA Champions
MJ led the Bulls to a second NBA championship in two years by defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 4-2. Jordan averaged 35.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. -
1993 NBA Champions
MJ led the Bulls to a third strait title by defeating the Suns 4-2. Jordan won another finals MVP by averaging 41 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists. This was the first time in 27 years that an NBA team has won three titles in a row. -
First Retirement
MJ stunned the basketball world by announcing his retirement to enter the MLB. -
Signing With Chicago White Sox
Jordan signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox where he would play for a year in AAA baseball. This was in part due to the fact that his recently deceased father loved baseball. -
Return To The NBA
After one year with the Barons, MJ decided to return to the Bulls for the 1995-96 season. -
Space Jam
Michael Jordan starred in his first movie with Bugs Bunny and all the other Looney Toons characters in the hit movie Space Jam. -
1996 NBA Champions
For the fourth time, MJ led the Bulls to the 1996 NBA championship and defeated the Seattle Supersonics 4-2. He won another finals MVP by averaging 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.67 steals per game. -
1997 NBA Champions
Again MJ would lead the Bulls to their fifth title and defeat the Utah Jazz 4-2. Once again Jordan won finals MVP by averaging 32.3 points 7 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. -

Jordan was voted by a panel of media, former players and coaches, general managers and team executives as one of the greatest 50 players to ever play. -
1998 NBA Champions
Another One! MJ brings home his sixth NBA title by defeating the Utah Jazz once again 4-2. Jordan won finals MVP by averaging 33.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. -
Second Retirement
After winning the 1998 NBA Championship, MJ decided to retire from basketball again. -
