We meet Lennie and George
As soon as we meet Lennie and George we see that Lennie has a diasability, that George is burdened with Lennie. It is evident that Lennie has a disability because the way that George treats him and the way that he talks. Also, we can tell that George is burdened because he tells Lennie that his life would be better if he did not have to take of him. This event is relevent because it introduces us to the characters and how the book will fall into place. -
Lennie kills the mouse
This event is important because it gives the reader the necessary details about Lennie, such as him being extremely caring, very powerful, and that he loves animals. All Lennie wanted to do was to care for the little mouse, even though it was dead. Lennie did not even want to show George the dead mouse because he was afraid for it and afraid for what george would do. Lennie showed his strength by trying to care for the mouse but killing it. Lennie love the mouse to much but loved it to death. -

George instructs Lennie to meet him by the River if they shall be seperated
This event is important because later Lennie does not question George but rather goes to the spot George told him to go to. It is also important because it shows Lennie's faithfulness to George that is displayed many times later in the story. -
George tells Lennie to fight back when being attacked by Curly
This event is important because it shows Lennies faithfulnes to George. Lennie was just taking the beating coming from Curly until George told him to fight back. As soon as Geroge told him to fight Lennie crushed Curley's hand. Also this event forshadowed how Lennie would meet George by the river when they were seperated and Lennie was in trouble. -
Lennie kills Curley"s wife
This event is important because this is the climax of the story. Everything that happened in the story led up to this and some events even hinted at it. Also, this event preluded George killing Lennie. I feel that Curley's wife walked in the barn she knew something was going to happen to herself because she noticed the dead puppy but proceeded anyway. -
Lennie kills his puppy
This event, which is very similar to Lennie killing the mouse, is very important because it displays Lennies affection for soft animals. Once I read this I almost certainly knew that Lennie was going to kill someone important in the story. -
Lennie and George meet at the designated spot
This event is important because George knew that he could meet Lennie there so he had time to prepare himself for the most important event in the story, Lennies death. This spot signified the dedication that Lennie had to George, and also that George had for Lennie. -
George kills Lennie
This event is important becuase a little part of Geroge died when he killed Lennie. The decision that george had to make to kill Lennie, who was almost a brother to him, had to torn him apart ever since he realized what he needed to do. George will never be able to have the farm because he loved Lennie to much. -
George walks to the bar with Slim
I think this event is important because it showed how slim really understood him while the other men felt that George would get rid of it right away. Now that Lennie is dead I feel that George will not want to get that close to anyone again but Slim will be the closest thing to a friend he will ever have.
