    Eventhough I learned two languages as "First languages", I always liked to count and practice the alphabet with Sesame Street among others.
  • My first school years In Iowa

    From Kindergarten to 2nd grade I studied in a elementary school in Muscatine, Iowa. I consider that attending to a school in the United States during my early years helped me to have a strong base in the English language.
  • Moved to Puerto Rico

    Moved to Puerto Rico
    I began 3rd grade in a public school in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. During these first years I had a slight problem with both languages. Sometimes I felt confuse with some words in Spanish and in English, but I was able to manage and get good grades.

  • I enrolled in College deciding to become an English teacher

    I enrolled in College deciding to become an English teacher
    Observing my classmates in High School, I decided to teach English to others so they could have the opportunity to learn a second language and have more options for the future.
  • Enrolled in Cambridge College to obtain a M.Ed.

    Enrolled in Cambridge College to obtain a M.Ed.
    This experience helped me to have another vision or objective in teaching English as a second language.

    Obtaining this degree was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.

    As a teacher I learn day by day with my students, but what is most important is that I have the opportunity to contribute to the formation or transformation of a bilingual citizen.
