Athletic star TJ has never lettered, nor competed, in a high school sport. But when he sees kids being harassed, TJ makes it his mission to create a lettering swim team of outcasts, including himself, the only black kid at the school. The swimmers are awful, but they become a team. TJ also helps a 6 year old girl named Heidi find acceptance in a world where her skin color (black) is not accepted.
