Met Julie Bartsch
Sometime in 1975 when I was 3 and Julie was 1, our dad's met and started up the "L&S Concrete" business. We have remained friends ever since. -
Formed the "KCK Girls"
Kim, Cathy, Kristi and myself were the "outcasts" in our small school so we all hung out together for lack of better friendships. We often did not see eye to eye, but we remained loyal to each other simply due to lack of options. We remained this way through the rest of our grade school years. -
Met Melanie Smith
Left behind the other "KCK Girls" because I was a year older than them and entered high school. Once in high school, I met another girl, Melanie, who was an "outcast" like me and we hung out together for lack of better opportunities. -
Met Neighbor Claudia
We moved into our new home on December 28th, 2001 at 10:30PM and the next day met our neighbors across the street, Joe and Claudia. I became fast friends with Claudia and have remained close with her to this day. -
Began to make "Couple Friends"
Started to get to know people in the community through my son playing sports and my husband coaching our son and his friends. David and I began making friends with the parents of the kids that he coached. The friends were closer to David than to myself as he is outgoing and I am introverted and never learned how to make friends. -
WP Friends
Started Warner Pacific College and became fast friends with Kira and later with Rachel, both of whom are in my learning team now. Our friendship goes beyond school work and we are begining to lean on each other for personal support as well as school support. -
Melissa Walker
I work with Melissa at the school and we started talking during recess duty. We find that we have a LOT in common as far as core beliefs and attitudes. Although we are ten years different in age, we spend a lot of time together talking in person or over the phone each week. I have told her just about everything I have ever told my best friend Julie.
