In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue. This is a main factor in American history because if Columbus would’ve never came upon America the whole U.S history would be different. -

In 1690 Massachusetts starts printing paper money. This is important because without money we wouldn’t be buying thing easily anymore. We’d be still trading or buying with coins. -

In 1691 new Massachusetts permits freedom of worship. This is important because if we didn’t have freedom of religion we would all have to believe in the same God that would not be fair at all. -

In 1714 Benjamin Franklin invented the lighting rod that led him to invent electricity. -

In 1730 the great awaking series of religious sweeps the colonies because now we have freedom of religion we can choose which faith we believe in. -

In 1789 George Washington is elected the first president of the US this is very important because he was the father of our country and he led the revolutionary war. -

In 1791 Philadelphia PA congress charters a national bank this is good for keeping money safe and starting a good business. -

In 1791 the Bill of rights is ratified this is important because we gained our personal rights, to be free. -
Eli Whitney
1793 Eli Whitney invents the cotton gin this is important because we still were cotton today and it is a good business to sell clothes. -

In 1812 congress declares war against Britain that started the war of 1812. -

In 1860 the pony express begins carrying mail from California to Missouri this is important because we still use this today and we used this as a way to communicate. -

In 1860 Abraham Lincoln is elected president because he freed the slaves. -

In 1861 the civil war began this is important because it shapes how America is today. -

In 1941 Japan attacked Hawaii killing nearly 2000 US soldiers and sailors. -

In 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King junior is assassinated. This is good because after he was assassinated African Americans started to get rights. -
Man On The Moon
In 1969 Neil Armstrong becomes the first person to walk on the moon this is good because we now study space travel.
