General Lee's plan was to have a series of attacks on the north but the battle of gettysburg stopped him in his tracks. he realized that he couldnt take them one on one. -

General Sherman took his famous 'march to the sea' when he went through the south all the way to savannah and back. Along the way he burned Atlanta. He didnt burn a building or two, he destroyed the whole city leaving nothing. -

The confederate army surrendered at the appomattox courthouse. General lee and general Grant discussed this and then lee surrendered. Lee and his troops walked home without their weapons. -
Abraham Lincon Dies
Abraham Lincon died on April 15, 1865. The Union was depressed but Jefferson Davis tried to take advantage and get his soldiers energetic and invade the North. Abraham was killed by John Wilkes Booth in ford theater. he wasnt killed immediatly but he died the next morining. -
