Failure of Desiderii
After sabotage by her twin Yuterpi, Melpomeni does not survive the trial of Desiderii and falls into a coma. She is hence disowned by the Prosellar, and Yuterpi is instead assumed to be his rightful daughter, if not his heir. Frigoris, as her assumed father, is charged with caring for the comatose Melpomeni. In his negligence, her childhood friend Imbry watches over her. -
Trial of Ingenii Interrupted
After a rush of training, Yuterpi begins her trials at the very last moment before the high elven astronomers, scholars, and elders foresee some kind of astral occurrence. A planetary happening, if you will. Yuterpi's trial runs long and is interrupted by the Celestial Event. Though the result is inconclusive, she assumes the title of Ingenii hal Mara anyway. -
CELESTIAL EVENT
Occurs 14 years before the start of the story. Althea has a dream and saves a young boy. The Prosellar is destroyed by the magic required to force the Event and the exodus. -

While spending quality time with baby Lolovi and her mother, A hears word about the impending race legislation and the name it is tied to. She sets off on a mission to hunt down Regolith that takes her back to the Highlands, where she crosses paths with expectant couple Clef and Nami as they flee civilization, and where she returns to the elven settlement in the Evergreen Woods to leave Raz a stable place to live. Otherwise alone, he spends much of his time with fellow children Mika and Daion. -
Clef and Nami elope to the Highlands
On the first anniversary of the Celestial Event, in a private ceremony officiated by Corona and attended by just the animals in the barn, the expecting couple Clef and Nami are wed. They then head south through the Highlands, seeking a more tolerant home for their future family. -

After eclampsia in her pregnancy with Faenon had worsened her health, she eventually fell too ill to leave home, with the cover story that she was with child and needed to take it easy preemptively. The Winter family conceals news of her death until Rune arrives several weeks later and reports that she perished in childbirth. -

After discussions with the triforce, A takes Sola under the premise of training her to use her powers for good. A does indeed do that, but also adopts her and refuses to ever give her back. Unfortunately, the family crisis that causes A and Raz to flee to Meryville leaves Sola alone and vulnerable to recapture. -

Regolith's Medical Studies in Meryville
Regolith lives in ivory towers but understands the plights of the masses. He attempts to study at the University to gain a valid medical license prior to opening his women's clinic, but trust from his elven clientele and subsequent word of mouth keeps his shady business running. Unfortunately, living in the city gives Luna access to enough information to figure out that her father figure is responsible for the genocide against her kind. She chooses life on the streets over his rotten company. -

The Alleged Lesbian Kiss and Aftermath
Raz and Mika kiss, triggering several events at once: Mika is struck in the head and develops aphasia, and Raz & A relocate to Meryville. -

Mika (14), Miyu (about 7), and their father are all killed in a domestic dispute on the outskirts of a village in the Evergreen Woods of the Highlands. Daion is never seen again. Kari, almost 7, is left abandoned in her home until she is taken by A to Azier where Deric and Moriel Riders are seeking to add to their family. -

Vega recaptures her after dropped communication from A (beginning after A discovers a family friend is a Vessel and spends life in fear of abduction or harm to her family). Sola finds her way back out quite swiftly, however. -

After fleeing Vega's captivity (under the premise of hunting down Sola), Kerioth returns to the Highland Mountains to evade recapture while also keeping Sacred Hill safely undetected by any pursuers. With a half-baked plan for murder, Raz, Seech, Zuli, and Yuli roam the country as vigilantes for a crisis no one else knows about. In their ill-advised travels, they are nearly assassinated as wanted criminals by Saakir, but he spares their lives at the plea of Beobachter. He brings the Vessel and her cohort to Sacred Hill as a home base. -
