  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights

    Universal Declaration of Human Rights
    U.N countries sign Proclamation of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Canadian John Humphrey was the primary wirter.
  • Canadians Enter Korea

    Canadians Enter Korea
    Canada sends 25,000 troops to the Korean War supporting the United Nations. Over 300 died and 1143 were wounded after serving in Korea
  • International Commission for Supervision and Control

    International Commission for Supervision and Control
    1007 troops heped stop hostilities from Israel, France and Great Britain attack Egypt. This ended in June of 1967
  • Persian Gulf War

     Persian Gulf War
    Canada sends troops to support United States in the Gulf War against Iraq. Over 4,500 Canadian Forces personnel are deployed at various times

    United States, Canada, and Mexico sign the North American Free Trade Agreement.

    United Nations Support Mission in Haiti
    750 people took part in the United Nations Support Mission in Haiti. This supported peacekeeping and institution building. Ended in July of 1997.

    Canada deployed 2000 people which eas brought down to 1000 in 2002. Canada went to Afghanistan to help the American military to help remove Taliban from government.
