    He was the 1st to move for better treatment of the mentally ill. He also emphasized keeping case records of patients. Sociocultural-People with mental disorders were treated unfairly.

    New York State passed the State Care Act. It ordered impoverished mentalyy ill patients into state hospitals for treatment. Sociocultual/Psychological/and Biological- Society started to deal with mental health instead of just disregarding them. They could also be tested and studied if they where in a hospital being cared for.
