    Lcy is an Australopithcus Afarensis .Lucy lived about 4 million years ago. She had teeth and she could walk on 2 feet.
  • Homo Habilis

    Homo Habilises lived about 2 million years ago. They had teeth, they walked on two feet, they made tools, and they had a more developed brain.
  • Homo Erectus

    Homo Erectuses lived about 1.8 million years ago. They had teeth, they walked on two feet, they made tools, they had a more developed brain, and they made fire.
  • Neanderthals

    The Neanderthals lived less than 500,000 years ago. They had teeth, they walked on two feet, they made tools, they had a more developed brain, they made fire, and they began burying the dead.
  • Homo Sapiens Sapiens

    The Homo Sapien Sapiens are us, modern humans. We have teeth, we walk on two feet, we make tools, we have a more developed brain, we make fire, we burying the dead, we began agriculture, and have communicaton systems and symbols.
  • Rise of the Kingdom of Sumer

    This began at approximately 2900 BCE. The Sumerians were polyhtiestic. The highest position in the government was king. Sumer was in Mesopatamia and it had great soil which made it easy to grow crops.

    Gilgamesh was a former king of Uruk, and yes, he was a real person. The exact day the epic was written is unkown, but our best guess is 7th century BCE. The Epic of Gilgmash is about a king named Gilgmash that rules Uruk. He's strong, he's selfish, he does whatever he wants, and he clames he's half god. But after the people of Uruk pray to the gods, the gods create and send a friend to Gilgameshthats equal in strength with Gilgamesh. They become bestfriend go on many adventures and together.

    Abraham was born in approximately 1900 BCE. He was born in Mesopatamia. One of his biggest challenges was the he had to sacrifice his son. But instead of sacrificing his son, he was given a goat and he sacrificed that instead. After that day his wife never talked to him again. He died at the age of 175 years old.
  • Hammurabi's Code

    Hammurabi lived from 1792 BCE to 1750 BCE. He was a former king of Mesopatamia, so obviously he lived in Mesopatamia. His code was a set of hundreds of laws for Mesopatamia. Most of the laws consisted of punishments if the law was broken. He was king for 42 years. His laws forced people to even give slaves more respect.

  • Moses, the Exodus from Egypt, and the Ten Commandments

    Moses is a Jewish man that was sent to Egypt down a river in a basket to escape from the people invading his hometown. He worshipped only one god and he wrote the Ten Commandments for God. He disliked how the Egyptian pharoah was treating the slaves. The Ten Commandments are rules from god for his worshippers. The Exodus was a bible that Moses wrote. He lived from 1280 BCE to 1240 BCE.
  • The Time of the Judges/ The Time Before Kings

    This time period was between the middle of the 13th cetury BCE and the middle of the 11th century BCE. Deborah was a judge. Her job was to take care of everyone's problems. One of her major obstacles was going into a war.

    He was a king from 1013 BCE to 973 BCE.

    Elijah was a prophet that lived from 875 BCE to 853 BCE.
  • Indus Valley Civilizations

    Started in 2000 BCE. The Ascetics moved down to the Indus River and settled there. They found ancient writings and animals on the walls, such as buffalos.
  • The Aryan Invasion and Vedas

    Started in 1700 BCE. They were very religous people that had migrated to India. They brung spices with them to India. The Vedas were a set of laws.

    700-500 BCE. The Upanishads were also a set of laws. The Ascetics were invaded by another civilization and their religons mixed.
