The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris ended the Seven Years’ War between France, Britain and Spain. This ended a time of European conflict in North America, and started the process of what would become Canada. -
The Quebec Act
The Quebec Act of 1774, was set in place to give religious freedom to the french and also their rights as french property rights. This act over ruled the British proclamation act which tried to assimilate all peoples to be under British rule. -
The Oregon Bondary Treaty,
The Oregon treaty was between the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States, and it was signed on June 15, 1846. This established the 49° north latitude,This left Vancouver Island under British rule, and created a settlement with which Canada and the US could agree on. -

McNab and Morin Coalition
In 1854 Augustine, Norbert and his colleagues from Canada East agreed to from a team with the leader Allan McNab. This was an important role in the formation of the Liberal-Conservative alliance. McNab later became the Premier of the Canada's from 1854-56. -
The Great Reform Convention
The Great Coalition was formed to bring the political parties of Canada together. It helped eliminate political deadlock between Canada West and Canada East, and proved to be a turning point in Canadian history. -

Charlottetown Conference
The Charlottetown conference was organized by delegates from PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia to bring about a union of the three. The future hope of this was that it would work towards the union of all the British North American colonies. -
The British North American Act
The British North America Act was passed by the British Parliament. This Act joined the colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in one federal union. The Act was officially passed July 1, 1867. -
Treaty 7
Treaty 7 was the last treaty made between the government of Canada and the plains First Nations. It was signed on September 22, 1877 by five First Nations by the name of Swastika.
