This case resulted in the end of segregation as defined and determined by law as it pertains to race. It also concluded that education is the most important aspect and responsibility of the state and federal government (Forte, 2017). -

The fundamental arguments and outcome of the Bronw case in 1954 were critical to this case and the rights of these needing special education services. IDEA with the help of many laws and movements previously is arguably the most influential and significant act lobbying for those inflicted with a mental disorder (Forte, 2017). -
Honig v. Doe
This case focused on the merit of expelling a student based on behavior that was because of their disability. Two significant outcomes from the case resulted. First, they developed a ten-day-rule which stated the school could only suspend the child for to ten days base on actions related to their disabilities (Forte, 207). -
American with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The ADA was enacted to eliminate discrimination in numerous areas including transportation, employment, public accommodations, and access to local and state government services.ADA is a federal law enforced by the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC).
This law provides recourse for those that face discrimination as it pertains to the services listed. It is my belief that this act helps to deter individuals from discrimination or even abusing the diagnosed with a disability (Forte, 20).
