  • Nazi-Soviet Pact

    Nazi-Soviet Pact
    August 28, 1939 Joseph Stalin and Hiltler signed a ten year nonaggresion pact. Stalie was very upset when he was isolated from the Munich conference. Stalin was not eager to join iwth the West. In addition, Hilter promised Stalin territories. Thus, they made a secret pact to divide the Poland between them.
  • Germany Invades Poland

    Germany Invades Poland
    After the Nazi-Soviet Pact, Hitler started his operation by invading Poland.Although France and England declared war on Germany on Septermber 3, France and England were unable to help.Germany annexed Poland.
    Unfortunate for Poland, on Septemeber 17, Stalin invaded the easter half of Poland.

    After Germany annexed Poland, France and England did not make a move. Although the French alone could have defeated Germany at that time, France and England were waiting till Germany made a move. At lat April 9 ,1940 German invaded Denmark and Norway.
  • Rescue of Dunkirk

    Rescue of Dunkirk
    May 1940, the Germans had trapped the Allied forces,outnumbering them. The Allies retreated to Dunkirk completley surrounded by the Germans. It was obvious that the Germans could have wiped out the entire force. However, the British army set out to rescue the army. The German force under estimated the Allies and allowed the British army to rescue about 300,000 troops.

    After the Battle of Dunkirk, France began to fall apart. By June 14, Germans had taken Paris. Eventually on June 22,1940 the Germans annexed France. Although France was concqured, Charles de Gaulle a French gerneral tried his best to regain France.

    In July 10 1940, the Germans started to attack Brtiain through aircrafts. At first they started to bomb British airfields and aircraft factories. Then the Germans attacked cities such as London. However, Britain stiked back through radars and engima. The Battle of Britain continud until May 10,1941.

    Operation Sea Lion was Germany's plan to invade the U.K during World War 2, beginning of 1940. However, with the Germany's defeat in the Battle of Britain, Operation SeaLion was never carried out.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbarossa
    Operation Barbarossa was Hitler's plan to invade the Soviet Union. Early in the morning of June 22,1941, German attacked the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was not prepared and although it had the largest army, they were unable to stop the Germans. Hitler wished to annex Moscow but just like Napoleon, Hitler gained nothing but lost 500,00 German soldiers.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    The Battle of Stalingrad bega on Ausgust 23,1942. It could be considered a turning point for World War2. The Nazi Germany and it allies fought against the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad. February 2,1943 the German troops surrented. After the Battle of Stalingrad, the German forces were unable to recover their earlier strength.
  • Battle of El Alamein

    Battle of El Alamein
    The battle was fought between the Axis power against the Allies. The battle of of El Alamein was an unexpected attack therefore the Germans had no choice but to pull back. While the Allies moved the to the next stage the launch the Operatio Torch.
  • D-Day

    This could be considered the end of the German force. The Allies attacked the German force through airforce and naval force.Unfortunately, the Germans did not expect this attack therefore lost this battle.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    Battle of the Bulge
    Battle of the Bulge was the final battle but also the deadliest battle that was fought during World War 2. Once against the Allies defeated the Germans.
  • V-E Day

    V-E Day
    On May,8,1945 German falls and the victory was given to the Allies. The deadly war was over.
