    Europe developed the feudal system which is when land is being exchange for protection from the military. The Church, ruler, and the Pope had the power and 1/3 of land is owned by the Church.The noblewomen had more power than the peasant women and they could inherit land if widows and if they don't have sons. 1478 the Spanish Inquistion was run by both the Church and civil also it was used for political and religious reasons. It declined in 1880.

    Muhammad was born in 570CE and he the founder of the religon Islam and the community, Medina. Well an angel, Gabriel, appeared to him telling Muhammad that he is the messanger for Allah. He had followers from Medina and after his death, his followers wrote down Muhammad's revelations in the Quran.

    Feudal Japan

    Japan hade a military government and the leaders were the daimyo and the warriors who fought for them were the samurai. In the Kamakura Period they developed more from trading and manufacturing but there was a limited freedom for the people. Japan adopted many foregin ideas that they were mostly influenced by Korea and China, but they reamined with their own traditions. The women could inherite land from their husbands and often owned land but later they began to lose power and influence.

    Most significant of the Crusades was a massive expediton led by the Roman Catholic Church ti get bacj the Palestine from the Muslims. 1095 the Crusades was launched by Pope Urban II. The First Crusade retook Jerusalem in 1187 and the Fourth Crusade never made it to Jerusalem. Their quesr to reach the HOly Land was a failure, so the Crusades ended at 1204CE.

    Mongols

    The Mongols was the world's largest empire. When the Mongles wanted to expand west they were also conquering land. They weren't directly involved in trade but they welcomed foreigners and merchants. Mongols kept moving west but they were defeated in Egypt which caused the Mongols to not keep moving west. Mongols officially ruled two continents until they tried to expand their empire so they invaded Japan, which they lost and this caused Mongol to decline.

    Islam and the Spread

    Islam have the FIve PIllars and tell the people who their god is and what to do. The women are equal statues to man and their religion is open to everyone. Islam split into the Shia and Sunni because they wanted to believe in two different leaders. 661CE Umayyad clan took control and changed the caliphates into a monarchy. 750Ce Abbasid clan overthrew the Umayyad. Caliphate declined when the Mongols invaded but Islam continued to spread throughout the world.

    During this time period the black plague was spreading from the Yunnan region to southwest China. This disease was spread by rats that had fleas and people traveling to different regions and this disease caused the population to decrease since the people were dying from the plague.

    Byazantince Empire

    The Byzantine Empire was part of the Roman Empire and it divided into to from east to west. In 527-565CE Justinlan unsuccessfully reconquered the Western Rome. The Byzantine Empire used the Mediterranean Sea to trade silk worms. Since the fall of Rome the churches of the Byzantine and Roman Christian churches splited and created the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodoz Church. In 1453 is when Byzantine declined.
