I was born
I was born at Butterworth (Specturm) and 2 weeks earlier than I was expected. -
Walking
I started walking around, so my mom had to watch me more. On top of that, she had to watch a 3 year old and a 6 year old. -
I Broke My Wrist
While my mom was working out she out my sister and I in the day care place. I was pretending to be an airplane, while sliding down a 2ft slide on my stomach, with my arms out, like an airplane. I lost my balance while I was sliding down and fell on my left wrist. -
Twin Towers
Two planes crashed into the twin towers in NYC. -
Parents got a Divorce
My parents' relationship wasn't working out and they decided to get a divorce. My mom kept the kids and we didn't move, but my dad moved out into a duplex in Wayland. My sister's and I stayed with him every other weekend and every even weekend he would take each of us out to somewhere fun. One time I remember, he took me to Craig's Cruisers. -
No Training Wheels
This was the first time I rode my bike without any training wheels. Our neighbors came and watched me. I started at the top of my driveway and rode down the street while everyone cheered. -
Dad got Remarried
My dad introduced us to a woman named Teri a couple years before this and then married her. I remember that I thought she was nice at first, but she changed my life forever. She changed my dad in a bad way. He never spent time with us and let Teri treat us horribly. My other two sisters felt the same way. Eventually, all three of us stopped going to my dad's house and stopped all contact with me. This is still true today. -
Moved
I moved to Byron Center. This was very positive for my mom and sisters. We used to live in Calendonia, but we moved to Byron Center. All though we down sized, it was still a good thing. I started my new life in Byron Center, like meeting new friends. -
American Girl Doll
My mom told me that if I complete a session of Interactive Metronome training. Then, I could get an Amercian Girld Doll. I choose the Princess Eliezebeth doll. I remember how my Grandma used to make clothes for her. I still have her today and I plan on giving her to my kids. -
First Pet
When I was younger I loved to walk dogs for people in my neighborhood, so I made a little money and my sisters babysat. We decided that we wanted a bird, so we pulled all of our money together and all bought a Parakeet and named her Summer. She eventually died because the lack of care. We sure learned our lesson. -
House Market Crash
Houses sold for a fraction of what they were bought for. -
Learned how to Waterski
I learned how to water ski at my aunt's lake. I had trainer skis and I was 8 years old. The first couple times I got water up my nose and I wanted to quit. But my mom convinced me not to and I evetually leanred how. The first time I got up and stayed up, everyone cheered for me. -
1st dog
When I was in 4th grade my mom finally decided to get us a dog. We got a Yorkie and his name was Hershey. This helped my sisters and I learn how to be responsible. I now have 4 dogs and out of all them, Hershey was the easiest to potty train and it also the calmest. -
Obama
First black president, Obama. -
ADD
When I was in 5th grade my mom had me take a ADD test. I was diganosed with ADD, but didn't start my medicine until I was in 9th grade. This has helped me get good grades in school and do the best I can in school. This also opened my mom's eyes and she had my other sisters tested too. -
Mom got remarried
My mom got remarried to someone named Trace when I was in 6th grade. This has changed my life trmendously. I really like him as a step dad. He is always there for me when I need him and it is nice to have a good father figure in my life now. -
Traveled
This was my first time traveling outside of the United States. It was an eyes opening expierence. I went on a cruise with my mom, step-dad, and sister (Vanessa). That trip really helped me figure out that I love to travel and make videos of my trip. It was so much fun, we went to Belize, Cozumel, and Costa Maya on our trip. I remember my favorite part was going to the Elementary school in Belize and giving the little kids notebooks and pencils. -
Grandma got sick/ passed away
My Grandma on my dad's side got diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of the year. She passed away that following summer. Since I wasn't speaking to my dad I wasn't informed that she was even sick. Then I got a call the week she died from him saying that my Grandma was sick and that I should see her before she passes away. I was planning on going to see her that following Friday, but she passed away that Thursday. This was very hard for me to deal with. -
Swam with Dolphins
My parents suprised me for my birthday a trip to Florida. I took my friend Karin and we swam with dolphins in Miami. All together, I didn't really think that we got our moneys worth. But, it was really fun! We have a condo in West Palm Beach, FL and then we drove down to Miami for the night. For the first part of the day we wondered around the zoo. -
Sister got Married
My big step sister, Kristen got married this past summer. It was by far the best wedding I have ever been to (in). Her wedding was at the Cacade country club and the summer weather was perfect! This is a new expierence for me because I grew up with all sisters. My brother-in-law is really fun and a good person.
