    In 1944,Chinese Communists were fighting against the Chinese Nationalists, The Nationalists supported by United States, and the Communists supported by the Soviet Union. The Chinese Communists wanted Communism for China and the Nationalists did not, eventually the Nationalists lost and left. This affected the Cold War because now the United States just lost China to Communism, and now the Soviet Union and the United States will be fighting each other for a while.

    June 25 1950, the war started by North Korea invading South Korea. The Soviet Union supported the North Korea and the United States supported South Korea. What basically happened was that North Korea wanted Communism and invaded South Korea who didn’t support Communism, but they wanted to unify and become one country named Korea. This event forced Hungary to become Communist, the way that this event affected the cold war was that Hungary had to surrender and then the Soviet Union had another country that was Communist.

This affects the Cold War because now the United States felt like they needed to get back at the Soviet Union, but they didn't want to fight them,

    On August 13, 1961 the Soviet Union build a wall that would split Berlin in half East and West Berlin.The Countries invovled are the Soviet Union side, which is Communism, and then the United States side, which is Democracy. This event affected the Cold War because now the United States couldn't break down the wall because then there would be a nuclear war, but they needed to get supplies to the other side.
