    Colonists were throwing rocks at british soldiers and the soldier fired and killed 5 colonists. The patriots made it sound like hundreds of colonists were killed.

    The battle of Lexington happened by accident. British soldiers were on their way to Concord to find a stach of weopons the colonists were hiding. In Lexington which is on the way to Concord soldiers were at aa standoff. Then, someone fired a gun and everyone started firing and no one knows who fired first.
