    Mach Bands
To put it quite simply, the Mach Bands are exaggerations between different shades of grey. This may seem like an uninteresting observation but actually it was this observation even now, 150 years later is still an imperative part of the world in the field of radiology and computer programing

    Mach Principal
Though not coined during his lifetime, the Mach Principal or Mach’s Conjecture was the mental catalyst for Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. Mach's principle states that "local physical laws are determined by the large-scale structure of the universe." The similarities are fairly obvious; however, Mach’s Principal was vague enough for others to build off of his work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPEwkMHRjZU

    Impact of Mach
In 1895 Mach became the head of Experimental Physics where he spent the next 28 years, completing over one hundred scientific papers and conducting countless hours of research. Some of the his most well recognized work in topics such as wave motion and relativity. Mach became well known for philosophy of phenomenal ism, which became a foundation for others who respected the philosophy behind the science. This goes to show the immense impact created by Mach in the scientific community.
