  • Radio wireless signalling

In 1802 Gian Domenico Romagnosi suggested that the relationship between electric current and magnetism,But his reports went unoticed. Hans Christian Ørsted performed a simple and today widely known experiment on man-made electric current and magnetism. He demonstrated that a wire carrying a current could deflect a magnetized compass needle.

  • Old Dishwasher

The first reports of a mechanical dishwashing device are of an 1850 patent by Joel Houghton of a hand-powered device. This device was made of wood and was cranked by hand while water sprayed onto the dishes.
  • Refrigerator/Frige

In 1857, Australian James Harrison developed the world first practical ice making machine and refrigeration system, and it was used in the brewing and meat packing industries of Geelong, Victoria.
  • Pop-up Toaster

Crompton, Stephen J. Cook & Company of the UK marketed an electric, iron-wired toasting appliance called the Eclipse. Early attempts at producing electrical appliances using iron wiring were unsuccessful, because the wiring was easily melted and a serious fire hazard. Meanwhile electricity was not readily available, and when it was, mostly only at night.
  • X-ray

The X-ray was discovered by Wilhelm Roentgen. It uses electromagnetic energy. The X-ray was discovered in Germany at Wurzburg University. The X-ray was discovered by accident.
  • New Dishwasher

William Howard Livens invented a small dishwasher suitable for domestic use. It had many of the features of a modern dishwasher, including a front door for loading, a wire rack to hold crockery and a rotating sprayer.[
  • Garbage Disposal

The garbage disposal was invented in 1927 by John W. Hammes, an architect working in Racine, Wisconsin. After eleven years of development, his InSinkErator company put his disposer on the market in 1940. In many cities in the United States in the 1930s and the 1940s the municipal sewage system had regulations prohibiting running food waste into the system. InSinkErator spent considerable effort, and was highly successful in convincing many localities to rescind these prohibitions.
  • Iconoscope

The Iconoscope was made by RCA in 1934.
  • Computer

A computer is a programmable machine designed to sequentially and automatically carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. The particular sequence of operations can be changed readily, allowing the computer to solve more than one kind of problem.
  • Microwave Oven

On October 8, 1945 Raytheon filed a US patent for Spencer's microwave cooking process and an oven that heated food using microwave energy was placed in a Boston restaurant for testing. In 1947, the company built the Radarange, the first commercial microwave oven in the world. It was almost 1.8 metres (5 ft 11 in) tall, weighed 340 kilograms (750 lb) and cost about US$5000 each. It consumed 3 kilowatts, about three times as much as today's microwave ovens, and was water-cooled. The first Radarange
  • Smart Board

The Smart Board interactive whiteboard is an interactive whiteboard that uses touch detection for user input in the same way normal PC input devices, such as a mouse or keyboard, detect input. A projector is used to display a computer's video output on the interactive whiteboard, which then acts as a large touch screen. The Smart Board typically comes with four digital pens, which use digital ink and replace traditional whiteboard markers.
