The Neolithic era begins.
In this period, the Hominids begin to transition from hunter\gatherers to agriculture. They start to build permanent settlements and begin communities. -
Period: 9000 BCE to 3000 BCE
Storage Begins
The Hominids begin to create pots to store their foods so they can eat it later. This helps develop community's by allowing them to store food for other times such as winter. -
Period: 8000 BCE to 6000 BCE
Domestication of animals
People start to raise animals for food sources. They start with sheep and goats and things like that then start to move to animals such as pigs. -
6500 BCE
Cloth
People learn how to grow flax and how to turn that flax into fabric that is used for clothing and helps keep them warm. -
5000 BCE
China
Humans near the yellow river start to develop farming communities. They start planting beans and plants like that such as cucumbers. They also domesticate pigs. -
4500 BCE
Humans invent the plow
The plow helps humans clear land for farming much faster than a stick. They then find out how to use animals to pull it instead of themselvs. -
3700 BCE
Bronze Age
At this time, Humans in the Middle East started to use bronze tools instead of stone tools. This ended the Neolithic Era but the Neolithic Era will always be remembered as the first stepping stone to becoming what we are today and our transition from hunter/gatherers to farmers. -
3000 BCE
Central America
Central American humans started to adopt agriculture and store their food in clay pots and jars.
