    Aristotle Theory

he believed that the earth was in the center and that everything revolved around it. Also he believed that the heavier the object the faster it would fall. they thought all objects were falling onto the earth, and everything was symmetrical. This occured in the centuries of B.C.

    Ptolemy's Theory

Ptolemy made a system of circles and epicycles that show the movement observed on the sky. If an observation disagreed with this theory, another epicycle was added so that it could be explained with the objects maintaining their perfect circular motions. This occured in the 2nd centry A.D.

    Nicolas Copernicus

he believed that instead of the earth being in the center that the sun was the one, Also that the earth rotated or spinned on its axis.
  • Newtons theory

hes theory cam when a apple fell down a tree he was sitting underneath from. He believed that there was a force that was pulling heavy objects towards the center of the earth. He said that the reason why the apple fell it was due to gravity. But this did not apply to the moon he thought that the moon was immune to gravity. He also explained the ellipse that the planets make and also explained the f=ma law
  • Cavendish

he came up with the weight of the earth by an experiment he cunducted using a barbell arrangement with 5.0 cm diameter lead ball masses at its ends (M2) suspended andbalanced in the middle by a long fine fiber.
  • Einstein theory

Einstein showed that space itself is bent by the presence of matter.Objects don't feel a force of gravity, they simply move in straight lines. But the space they move through is bent, and so it appears that they move in arcs. His theory was that "warping" of time and space gave rise to gravity
  • Galileo Galilei

He introduced physic, and by expirimentng wit dffrent inclined planes and would slide the balls down them. he also discovered thatthe eart was tilted on its axs and that its was about half a mile.
