Death Of Dante Alighieri
In the summer of 1321, Dante as Ambassador of the ruler of Ravenna went to Venice to make peace with the Republic of St. Mark. On the way back, Dante fell ill with malaria and died in Ravenna on the night of 13-14 September 1321.
