The Calculating Clock
This was the first known adding machine and was invented by a man named Wilhelm Schickard. This was called the, "Calculating Clock" and was able to add or subtract any numbers up to six digits. The machine was destroyed in a fire but reconstructed in 1960. This event is important because it marks when solving harder math problems became more realistic and easier. -
Phillip's Calculator
Phillip-Malthus Hahn creates a better and more efficent calculator. He is able to sell these and they are accurate up to 12 digits ulike the previous calculator shown in the presentation. This is significant because it shows how mathematics and science is improving, and is a check point for when inventions such as these become less rare. -
First Typewriter
The first typewriter was patented by William Austin Burt. It was very ammature but was the first writing machine! This is important because it begins typing and writing something with a more technological sense. -
First Sent Telegraphic Message!
Samuel Morse sends the first telegraph message from Washington to Baltimore. The telegraph had already been invented, but this was the first successful message sent! This is important because it is the beginning to long distance talking other than letters! -
Telephone Invention
A man named Alexander Graham Bell invents the telephone! This invention escalates and eventually becomes more handy than the telegraph! This is a significant part of computer history because it shows how much the science and technology is expanding. The telephone is an invention that has quickly grown which has a great money producing market. -
Flip-Flop Circuit
The "flip-flop circuit" is invented by two physicists.
This invention is significant because it is necessary for high-speed electronic calculating. Sounding more and more like a modern day computer is coming! -
Z1
Zurse invents the Z1. This is a machine that is able to program and calcualte the binary system. This is very important because it is used to calculate engineering math. This helps immensly to produce more efficent technology. -
501 Computer
This was introduced by RCA. It has a feature that has programmed languages. This is significant because it was the first computer designed as a "high-end general purpose system". -
Machintosh
Apple launches the Machintosh and has a great presentation to show its capibilities. This is significant because Apple expands and grows more and more, even after the Macintosh. It's the beginning to multi-muli-purpose computers! -
THE YEAR PROVI WAS BORN! (Also, the year Microsoft intoduces Internet Explorer 3.0)
Microsoft introduces Internet Explorer 3.0. Some people consider this "lame". This is significant because it was introduced during my birth year and is the beginning of Microsoft intoducing more "lame" Internet Explorers! Mozilla Firefox all the way!
