The first portable computer is produced by Altair. This is important because almost all computers today are portable, and this was the start of the "microcomputer revolution". -

Apple comes out with the Macintosh computer. This is important because of the mouse and keyboard, but also the start of Apple as a leader in the computer industry. -

The World Wide Web is brought to the public. This is extremely important because today everything that happens is put on the internet and almost everything can be learned on the internet. -
iPhone
The iPhone is released and sold. This is important because it is the first time that an iPod, phone, and computer are all in one small handheld device.
