  • The Dvorak keyboard

    The Dvorak keyboard
The Dvorak keyboard is also known as the simplifyed keyboard. Dvorak proponents claim the Dvorak layout uses less finger motion, increases typing rate, and reduces errors compared to the standard QWERTY keyboard. I choose this event because it provided a common easy way everyone can use to type on their computer
  • The ABC computer

    The ABC computer
The Key ideas used in the ABC included, binary math and boolean logic to solve up to 29 simultaneouse linear equations. The ABC had no CPU but uesed vacuum tubes for digital computation. I choose this because it was a good start to graphing calculaters and computers that could do advanced math.
  • Integrated circuit

    Integrated circuit
The block consists of layers of insulating, conducting, rectifying and amplifying materials, the electronic functions being connected directly by cutting out areas of the various layers. I choose this because this was one of the first conducters for a computer.
  • The GUI

    The GUI
The graphical user interface is understood as the use of graphic icons and a pointing device to control a computer. I choose this event because it is important that we are able to interact with the computer by using the mouse.
  • First Static and Dynamic RAMs used

First Static and Dynamic RAMs used
DRAM is a type of random-access memory that stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit. I picked this one because it is a good thing to have seperate storage memory.
  • Floppy Disk

    Floppy Disk
A floppy disk is a disk storage medium composed of a disk of thin and flexible magnetic storage medium, sealed in a rectangular plastic carrier lined with fabric that removes dust particles. I picked the floppy disk because it was the beginnging of secoundary memmory and portable access to computer files.
  • The Apple ll

    The Apple ll
The Apple ll is a set of 8-bit home computers, one of the first highly successful mass-produced microcomputer products. Ichoose this milestone because this is when computers were becoming even more availible in peoples homes.
  • 8008 microprocessor

    8008 microprocessor
It was an 8-bit CPU with an external 14-bit address bus that could address 16KB of memory. I choose this because it opened the window for more computer memory that allows us to store more files and information.
  • The Cray 1 super computer

    The Cray 1 super computer
The Cray 1 super computer was one of the best known and most successful supercomputers in history. Later other super computers were modled after it. I picked this event because this super computer was used to modle and develop other super computers.
  • Microsoft windows introduced

    Microsoft windows introduced
The first version of Microsoft Windows included a simple graphics painting program called Windows Paint; Windows Write, a simple word processor; an appointment calendar, a cardfiler, a notepad, a clock, a control panel, a computer terminal, and a Clipboard. I picked this event because microsoft windows is widley used and very useful.
