This calculator was invented by Blaise Pascal. I put it on my timeline on account of it being one of the first mechanical machines for computing. -
The First Printing Desk Calculator
This was invented by Dorr Felt. I put this on the timeline because it was one of the most prominant advances in the history of computers since the mechanical calculator. -
Z1 computer was first created.
The Z1 was the first computing machine. I picked this miestone because it was pretty much the original computer. -
First Digital Computer created
The ABC as it was called was the first computer to be digital. Again, a huge step in the evolution of computers, I put it in because it is the first computer close to what we have today with a screen. -
First Personal Computer
This was the first computer available for people to use in their homes. I chose it because, well, it was the first computers people could buy for themselves. -
The First Minicomputer
The PDP-8 was the first mincomputer. I chose it for my timeline because it was a smaller version of the first computers. A major accomplishment. -
First Portable Computer
The IBM 5100 was the first computer to be portable. I added it to my timeling because it was the first computer that could be moved to other places. -
Macintosh Computers were introduced to the World
Macintosh computers were introducd in a 1.5 million dollar commercial in the Superbowl. I use a Mac so I thought it fitting to put it on my timeline. -
Mosaic Web Browser Released.
This was the first place that allowed users to access the internet. I included it because without the internet, a lot of communication would be reduced. -
Android Introduced by Verizon
Verizon made one of the first cellular phones with internet. This is one of the first times the internet could be used on a phone, that's why I put it on the timeline.
