    The treaty of Versailles was established on June 28th, 1919 when Germany lost the first World War. The treaty took away most of Germany's power and hurt their economy drastically. This was one of the causes that led to World War 2, as if this treaty was not established, then maybe Hitler would not have come into power.

    Failure of the LN (League of Nations)
    Thje League of Nations was formed on April 3rd 1920. This league was formed to prevent any more wars, but was not effective. They were too late to react on matters and did not solve problems in a fair way to both sides. They did not stand up for the smaller countries and this showed dictators like Hitler that he could do what he wanted and get away with it.

    Hitler was appointed as High Chancellor on January 30th, 1933. He came into power as he promised Germany that he would solve all of their problems and help build a better future for them. The Nazi's got more votes as the economy grew worse and worse, and Hitler eventually made his mark on the world.

    On March 6th 1934, Germany started to invade countires in order to gain more power. This went against the treaty of Versailles, but the western leaders did nothing to stop it as they wanted to appease Germany. Hitler got out of control and continued to invade countires and eventually, the West took action against Germany.

    The Nuremberg Laws came into effect on October 10th 1935. These laws stripped the Jewish population of Germany of their rights, and created a common enemy for the people of Germany to focus on. The world opposed these laws, and this was another reason that led to the second world war.

    Germany invaded Poland on September 1st 1939. Hitler wanted world domination, so he invaded Germany in order to accomplish this task. Britain and France came to the aid of Poland as they were alliances. They gave Germany the option to withdraw or to go to war. Germany chose war, and this sparked the second World War.
