    Document prepared by parliment and signed by King Charles I of England in 1628; challenged the idea of the divine right of kings and declared thar evan a Monarch was subject to the laws of the land.

    Document written by parliment and agreed on by William and Mary of England in 1689, designed to prevent abuse of power by english Monarchs.
  • Albany Plan of Union

    Drafted by Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, under this plan each colonial legilature would elect delegates to an American continental assembly presided over by a royal govenor.

  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Communist refused to pay taxes on tea; men disguised as indians descended upon three ships and dumped their cargo of tea into the harbor waters.

    Held because colonist were very upset about the intolerable acts and the taxes. the intolerable acts were punishments from King George the third put on the colonies for dumping the tea into the Boston Harbor.

    The second continental congress was presided over by John Hancock, who replaced the aling Peyton Randolph, and included some of the same delegates as the first, but with such notable additions as Benjamin Fanklin and Thomas Jefferson.

    Plan presented by delegates from Virginai at the Constitutional Convention, Called for a three branch government with a bicameral legislature in whichi each states financial membership would be determined by its population or financial government for the central governement.

    Serveral farmers agreed with Roger Sherman of Conneticut; those delegates argued for a stronger exectuive carried the day. The farmers established a sigle executive chosen indepently of congress and with its on distinct field of powers.
