When Bell was born, his parents already had a son named Melville James Bell. Then one year after Alexander Graham was born, his parents had the youngest son, Edward Charles Bell. Every since it was made and has rung over the Parliament Houses, people expect them. But sadly the bell has stopped ringing. Now, they ring it on special occasions, such as New Years Eve.     On August 2, 1922, a very important person in history passed away. Alexander Graham bell died at age 5 in Nova Scotia, Canada from diabetes. He had been ill for many months before his death, so this wasn't a big shock to everyone, they knew it was his time to go. Throughout his life he invented the telephone, photophone, hydrofoil, autiometer, and the metal detector. He held 18 patents to his name all for his inventions.
