Air conditioner
An air conditioner, sometimes referred to as simply an AC, is a device that is designed to cool an area and [ mostly ] also dehumidify the area as well. The first modern air conditioner was made in 1902, by Willis Carrier in New York. Some models also use remotes, which help with adjusting the settings, although others have a knob(s) that you can turn to adjust settings when you flip down a panel on the AC. Source -
Compact Cassette
The cassette, which is also commonly referred to as an audio cassette, a cassette tape, cassette or simply tape, is a magnetic tape sound-recording device that is also capable of playing back whatever has been recorded. It was originally designed for dictation, but as it improved, the compact cassette was led to support the Stereo-8 catridge and reel-to-reel tape recording. -
Modern computer
The modern computer has evolved greatly from the first prototype model, although it cannot be determined which was the 'earliest' computer created, due to the loose use of the term. The computer can be used to do many, many tasks ranging from being able to launch word processing applications, read and check e-mails, download files and share them with others, and even play games whenever you are in need of some entertainment! A microwave is a kitchen appliance that heats food. It requires electricity to run, and can heat food quickly and efficiently; which is why they are very popular choices for reheating already cooked food items. The first microwave oven that was released commercially was designed by Raytheon after World War II (two), based on radar technology that was developed during the war. It first sold in 1947. -
Mobile phone
The mobile phone is a handheld phone that's primary function is to, obviously, receive and make phone calls. It has a few advantages over the normal phone that needs to be connected because you can carry a mobile with you wherever you go, can access the internet, play games, and even listen to music; if your mobile phone has the capability to do so. However, you do need to pay for a SIM card and such if you wish to make any calls. Source -
USB
The USB, which is an abbreviation of Universal Series Bus, was originally designed and made due to a collaboration between the 7 companies Compaq, DEC, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, NEC and Nortel. Their goal was to make it significantly easier to connect external devices to PCs, and make data transfer simpler. -
MP3 Player/Portable Media Player
A portable media player (PMP for short), is an electronic device that is capable of storing and playing digital media files such as audio, images, videos, and sometimes even documents. Data is often stored on a hard drive, microdrive, or the player might use flash memory. They are normally sold as MP3 players, even if they also support other types of file formats. Source -
Netbook
The Netbook is smaller, lighter and less expensive than a laptop; and it's primary usage is to surf the internet. They feature smaller screens, keyboards, and overall space, and omit certain features. Nintendo DS (NDS)
The Nintendo DS, or more commonly called the NDS, is a gaming console that is produced by Nintendo, and was first released on the 21st of November, 2004. There are dual LCD screens, one on the top and the other on the bottom, which is also a touchscreen. The NDS is designed like a clamshell, which you open up and close. If you close it while playing a game, it momentarily pauses and the screens turn black until you open it up again. Source -
iPad
The iPad was created to be a mash-up of a laptop and a phone (the power/usefulness and portability of one, respectively), the iPad can do many things a normal computer can do, such as browse the web, watch videos, listen to music and even read, but it cannot make calls as a phone could.
