Lance uses the word "faggot" which makes Rob Angry
Since Ansley's vocabulary was as limited as his imagination, his habit was calling everyone in range "faggot'. Rob tensed visibly everytime, and I knew one day he'd take Lance down. (pg. 3) In this qoute is explains how since Lance was not very intelligent he tended to use slang words over and over again. One of these words happen to be "faggot". Everytime he would say that word Rob would tense and get more angry then he usually does. People start thinking that he might be hiding something. -
Lance bullys Simon infront of the whole school.

(pg. 4 ) This qoute is an example of in the beginning of the book when Lance bullys Simon infront of everyone. He makes fun of him because of his apperance and some of the habits he has. This was the main event that caused Rob to stir up his plan of making Simon popular. -

Rob decided to take on the mission to make Simon popular.
" That's not the real power; true power would be making the sheep like simon". He paused and then grinned like he has just tasted something suprisingly good. "Want to test it?" Rob recieves enjoyment out of torturing the frog intill its death.

He also erases absences on his friends records. But the most important thing he does it get back at Lance by creating fake absenses on his record to get hi in trouble. -
The "crew" finds out the disturbing truth about Rob's past
" I never wanted to know this" Glass said. Me neither, i turned off the viewer we are never going to talk about this again, never. (pg .148) This qoute explain how Young and Simon find out about Rob's past. They figure out that Rob's dad is in jail for molesting him as a kid. When they read the article at the libary they can not believe what they see. -
Bobster, Coop, amd Rob go to see Simon's house and end up begining to realize Simon's home life.

Rob makes Young give up Ronna for Simon

(pg. 52) In this qoute it is explaining how Rob wants Young to give up Ronna to Young. He believes that all Simon needs is a pretty, popular girl to take to the favorites dance to ensure he wins. -
Simon gets beat up by Rob and Bobster
" Simon was turned to me he didn't see Rob behind him raising his bat high. Then he only caught a glance of motion as the bat bestended. But the bat was too fast the blow struck with too much passion, too much strength." (page. 214- 215) In this qoute, it shows how Rob and Bobster beat Simon to death. This occurs right after Rob finds out SImon went behind his back by rigging the votes. Rob feels he is not in control. Also Simon accuses him of liking when his father molested him.
