    the old fashioned scroll was mostly used around the time BC 2400 it was made out of papyrus plant then pounded with atool like a hammer then woven together, scrolls were mostly used for important messages and celebrations or invitations.

    People from all over the world in BC 2200 did'nt used to have paper,pens anything that we use to write today. They would write on leaves, rocks etc with clay,bark,rock and they did'nt use punctuation.All the writing would be continuous,( no spaces). And they would write right to left, left to right as well as most of it in another language most of us would'nt understand.

    Medieval Books are made hand made by leaves staked in a thick cover and bound together by gum and calf skin, we can't understand the language because it's very foreign language to us the books are sent to people who write with special pens and makes it look quite affective these books were mostly used in church ceremonies or for special accasions weddings etc compared from that time to this time books haven't really changed , except for the updated technology the most common language was latin.

    The map is are a different type of book but we still use it every day, it's a great human invention especially when you are lost which seems to happen a lot in our family, I'm usually not the navigator so it's not me. The map was invented in 8,000 years ago but the maps didn't look like the ones we have today. The map they had was sort of like a compass giving you the south,north,east and west and definition of what country you are in.
