This is an important event because he was an American clergyman, activist and prominent leader in the African American civil rights movement. His main legacy was to secure progress on civil rights in the United States, and he has become a human rights icon. -
The Great Depression
The Graeat Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression in the decade leading to World War II. -
9/11
On 9/11 there were people that took over the planes and One crashed on the Pennsylvania border, one on the Pentagon, and two into each of the World Trade Centers. This was a VERY important and sad event for the U.S.
