Why was William Bradford elected as Govorner over Plymouth?
Bradford was elected as Govorner over Plymouth because of his leadership and intergrity. William was one of the first men to go ashore when the Puritans reached their destination, He was also one of the lone survivors of teh colony. Also as a kid he worked his way iinto the church which made him a perfect candidate since religeon was what Plymouth was founded on. -

Why do you think that Mary Rowlandson and her children were held hostage for so long?
Mary Rowlandson was captured in 1675 when indians raided the village she lived in. They took hostages I think because, they did not want anyone to know who had done the raid. Rowlandson was held for about 11 weeks. She was put rhrough very harsh conditions as well. I believe she was held for that long because they wanted to make some money off of her selling her.
