    I was enrolled in Herman Badillo bilingual School, once we settled down in Buffalo NY.
  • Learning English

    I quickly learned English thanks to the bilingual program in the Herman Badillo elementary. Therefore I became the official translator of the family whereever we went.

    I went to shool in the US up unti'll the 5th grade and then my mother decided to come to P.R.
  • Fluency

    A few years have passed since I returned to P.R. and my English was still fluent, that's because I met friends who knew English and thats how I practiced my English. Schools in P.R. didn't help me much with my English skills because the level teachers taught was below mines, because of my non bilingual classmates.

    I coursed 6th through 12th grade in P.R. which at first was kind of hard because of the language difference, but eventually I caught on with it.

    I went on to study what I really wanted to be, an English teacher in the Interamerican University of Guayama P.R.

    I graduated from the university in 2011, a well trained English teacher was on his way to the education world.

    My first job was as a elementry science teacher at Enrique Huyke Bilingual Public School, where I learned so much from the students and the school staff. I teached my classes in both languages so it was kind of overwhelming at first. This is where I enrolled to the bilingual teacher certification in the Sagrado Corazon University of P.R.
  • New job

    1 year after my first job as a teacher, I got hired in a new school as an English teacher at secondary level. Currently I teach 10th and 11th grade English and its frustrating at times but I love it.

    From 2002-2005 I was undecided of what to study, I tried electricity, insrumentation, even welding, but I finally decided what I really wanted in 2005.
  • Continued Education

    Now I'm currently working on my Masters as a Clinical Social Worker and certifying myself as a bilingual teacher in the Sagrado Corazon University of P.R. What the future holds for me? only God knows.
