Maryland was given the righ to build by King Charles the first and he gave the right to build it to Lord Baltimore. -

Conneticut was founded by Thomas Hooker and about one hundered other men. Hooker believed that every church should be independant. -
Rhode Island
Rhode Island was founded by Thomas Hooker. The Narragannsett allowed him to stay on their land int urn he paid them, therefore he founded Rhode Island. -

Delaware was also founded by the Duke of York but was given to William Penn as a gift for a friend -

Geogia was started when General James Ogelthorpe received a charter to start a colony so he named his colony georgia after King George the second.
