Long Hunters arrive in Tennessee
Long hunters were indevidual hunters that entered the hills and valleis of TN, their name comes from the distance of their travels. Daniel Boone was a long hunter. Long hunters came into TN knowingly violating the proclamation line. It was not unusual for a longhunter to earn $1,600-1,700 in one trip. -
