  • Jamestown settled

    Jamestown settled
    Jamestown was the first successful English settlement on the mainland of North America. Jamestown was founded in the Colony of Virginia on May 14, 1607.

    Mayflower Compact written
    First governing compact of Plymouth Colony. This pact was filled up with general laws and rules that would benefit the colony and to help it establish order.

    It is a major document that prevents the king from tampering with the rights of individuals.

    This was a re-enstatement form that was presented by the Convention of Parliament. It lays down a guideline of rules for freedom of speech in Parliament.

    it was a direct action from a group of colonists against the British government. After some high up officials refused to return taxed tea to Britain, colonists took action against this. The colonists boarded ships and dumped all of the tea into the harbor.
