  • Nightgowns

    Nightgowns
    Cotton, Wool, Linen and Rayon where used at the time in 1920 to make nightgowns and fabrics. The colours used weren't vibrant or neon. It has a very pastel look and the fabric for the gowns are very silky. This is the time where women began to wear comfortable clothes such as skirts and trousers.
  • General Clothes

    General Clothes
    In 1930 the fabric used to make men clothing were wool, silk, rayon, and cotton. These materials were also used in women's clothing. In 1930s most of people's attention for clothing went to the shoulders. They wore butterfly and banjo sleeves, shoulder pads and their clothes were tailored to give the illusion of large torsos and wide shoulders as that was the most respected at the time. The colours people used to wear were dull colours of yellow, pink, orange, red, blue, grey, brown and more.
  • Shirts

    Shirts
    T-shirts (which were called polo shirts in 1940), and high waisted shorts existed at the time. The shirts were knitted out of cotton. Stripey shirts became a trend and consisted of colours of white and red or white or blue. Plain colour t-shirts came in red, blue, grey, yellow, white and beige. Those were casual clothes. Women also used to wear long-sleeved T-shirts with the sleeves pushed up.
  • Common Clothing

    Common Clothing
    Blouses were fashionable during the 1950s. They were usually worn with skirts or pants. Many blouses were sleeveless or had very short sleeves. Long skirts or dresses were popular and were often worn with short jackets. In spring and summer, women used to wear pastel colours of red, yellow, mint green, pink, beige, grey and turquoise. During winter, they used to wear dark colours like brown, black, dark grey, dark green, and dark purple.
  • Short Skirts and dresses

    The late 1960s, everything was opposite. People started wear bright, and swirling colours, tie-dye shirts and long hair. Women then started to wear short skirts and dresses and men wore tunics and capes.
