Known as D-day for its countless deaths. The Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy and thousands were lost. -

The victory over the Axis powers in Europe. The Allies had almost won the war. -

America drops nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The population that lived there is still affected by the radiation to this day. -
V-J Day
Victory over Japan. WWII has come to an end for everybody.
