The Non-Aggression Pact was an agreement between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, and lasted for about 2 years. It would mean Germany wouldn't attack Russia and vice versa. Later, Germany would back stab Russia. -

The invasion was the Japanese invading Manchuria, in china. It was mainly due to the fact that the US would not trade with the Japanese, so the Japanese decided to get there own resources. -

It was an agreement between the US, GB, and France to stabilize the 3 currencies. It happened due to the great depression in America, which destabilized the currencies. -
Rape of Nanjing
The Rape of Nanjing was a massacre in China, committed by many Japanese soldiers. Many Chinese women were raped and assaulted, and either killed or left to die. Chinese people were used as human experiments, often without any anesthesia. -

Anschluss is the german term that means Germany and Austria joining nations. Surprisingly, Austria wanted to be apart of the German nation. It was originally outlawed by the Treaty of Versailles. -
Munich Pact
The munich pact was an agreement between Great Britain and Germany to avoid war, which was later broken when Germany invaded Poland. The Munich Pact although it avoided War for about a year, it also gave Germany the Sudetenland. -
Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht was an event in Nazi Germany where many German policemen and citizens terrorized Jewish shops and houses, leaving about 100 Jews dead. It happened overnight after a Jewish teenager killed a German diplomat. -
Invasion of Poland
The Invasion of Poland was when Germany invaded Poland, which also forced France and Britain to join the War. In the Munich Pact, Britain and Germany sought peace. But unfortunately Germany invaded Poland just a year after, even though Great Britain said they would declare war if Germany did. -
Evacuation of Dunkirk
The evacuation was a miracle made by allied troops. The allies had been surrounded by Germany, and it looked like they would mostly be captured or killed. Over 300,000 troops were rescued in the evacuation. -
Lend Lease Act
The Lend Lease Act was a government program signed into action by President FDR. It was supposed to help the allies by supplying resources. It ended overnight, after the war against Japan ended. -
Operation Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa was when German forces invaded Soviet Russia. The Germans failed to take over Russia, which was very important for the war. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor took place in Hawaii, USA, when Japanese forces bombed Pearl Harbor. It led to the United States to enter WW2, and also the bombing of Hiroshima/Nagasaki. 68 people died from the attack on Pearl Harbor. -
Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway was a battle between the Japanese and the US. The Japanese tried to attack the US near Midway Atoll, but the US defeated the Japanese. More than 3,300 total people were killed. -
D-Day Invasion
The D-Day invasion was the largest seaborne ever. It happened on the beaches of France, which was controlled by Germany. Over 20,000 casualties were the result of D-day. -
Liberation of Paris
It was a battle to free France and Belgium. It started with an uprising of the French Resistance, right before the US army came and helped fight too. The Germans later surrendered the land. -

The Battle of the Bulge was the last offensive battle made by Germany. It took place in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg. It was made as a surprise attack. -
Hitler's Suicide
Hitler committed suicide by taking cyanide. He took the cyanide with his wife, Eva Braun. Some people say he died via a self inflicted gunshot, other say it was by cyanide. The reason he killed himself was because the war seemed like it was pretty much lost. -
Surrender of Germany
The Surrender of Germany took place in Berlin, and it was signed by the allies and germany. It happened after Hitler had committed suicide. -
Hiroshima/Nagasaki
Hiroshima/Nagasaki was when the US bombed the respective cities with the newly created Atom Bomb. It happened after Pearl Harbor, and was decided by President Truman. His reason was that it would save more lives to go ahead and end the war by bombing Japan.
