  • Sinking of the Lusitania

    On this day the US passenger boat known as The Lusitania was shot by torpedoes from a German U-boat. the impact this event had was it started to make America realize that they could not stay neutral.
  • The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sophie

    This event was a telegram interception from Germany to Mexico that the US figured out. The telegram was the Germans offering land to the Mexicans if they helped them defeat the US.
  • Germany's resumption of unrestricted submarine warfare

    This was when Germany told the world that any boats sailing to Britain or around Britain would be sunk. many boats were sunk or attacked including the Lusitania.

    some reasons they entered were Zimmermann telegram, the sinking of the Lusitania, and unrestricted submarine warfare. Americas impact was huge the fact that they just had so many numbers that were added to the allies side made them that much of a force and eventually led them to victory.

    The Dawes plan was a plan for how Germany was going to pay back the allied forces. The young plan was a plan where people got together again to figure out how Germany was going to pay them back.
