  • Liberation of concentration camps

    Hitler creates concentration camps to exterminate and kill of people who didn't fit the criteria of the "perfect race" to eliminate the imperfect people in Germany, and what was going to be the German empire.

  • German Blitzkrieg

    The German Blitzkrieg was a military tactic which was designed to create disorganization within the opposing forces. They used ground forces, including tanks, and radios. Germany used this tactic on Poland, and then later on Belgium.

    The Blitz, or the bombing of London, was a long 11 months where a constant bombing from Germany in Great Britain. They lost many people and after a long while of trying to wear down Great Britain down, they surrendered and moved onto the Soviet Union.

  • Lend Lease Act

    Lend Lease Act
    The Lend Lease Act was an act which was passed in the late 1940's to help the Allied powers, by providing war goods. The United States used this to ease into the war, and become apart of the fighting. They provided military aide for the Soviet Union, Great Britain, and France.

  • Capturing of Paris

    Germany invaded France, looking or more land, and eventually captured Paris on June 14th. They went from Poland to France, and entering in from Belgium, they surrounded France's army, and eventually defeated them. They then took the rest of France over, invading and capturing Paris in June.

  • Operation Barbarossa

    With Germany being at its highest point in war, they decided to invade the Soviet Union. They fought a two front war, and eventually lost making it the turning point in World War 2.

  • Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    The bombing of Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack on the United States by Japan. They came and surprised us with a bombing onto one of our military bases in Hawaii. This led to the United State's official entry to World War 2.

  • Germany declared war on the United States

    Only four short days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the United States declared war on Japan, and then Germany declared war on the United States, which started a series of Provoking each other.

  • Bataan Death March

    After the US surrendered to Japan on the Philippine island, the Japan had their prisoners march 65 miles to the prison. These people went through a tremendous amount of pain and suffering. Thousands of people suffered leading it to become the Bataan Death March.

    The battle of midway was a war between the United States, and Japan. They made it a decisive naval battle, which took place approximately six months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor,

  • Warsaw Ghetto uprising

    The Warsaw Ghetto uprising was a violent revolt which residents of the Jewish ghetto in the Nazi-occupied Warsaw, Poland, staged an armed revolt to prevent deportation to extermination camps. This helped increase encouragement to have others also revolt.

    The Allied powers had come together to finish and stop Germany once and for all, and to do that, the Allied powers got together in Normandy, and defeated Germany once and for all. This was known as the largest Seaborne invasion of all time.

    The Battle of the Bulge was fought between the Allied forces and Germany, for land in Ardennes. This was at first a surprise attack from Germany, but their armies came back strong defeating Germany with major casualties. this led to neutralization of the German counteroffensives.

    A battle which the United States landed on the Japanese Island, and captured the island of Iwo Jima.

  • Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    After winding down from World War 2, the United States had some unfinished business to take care of. They had one more enemy to take care of. The United States decided to take two atomic bombs, and drop them off in Japan, which made them surrender, and win their part of the war.
