  • Japanese Attrocities

    The Japanese chemically and biologically attack Chinese civilians causing deaths and diseases. More than 15 million Chinese die from these attacks.
  • Manhattan Project

    Albert Einstein, FDR, General Leslie R. and Robert Oppenheimer work on building an atomic bomb. After Germans knew about building it atom bomb, American scientists started working on it secretly by putting its bases all around the country.
  • Auschwitz

    In the South of Poland Nazis kill all the Jews and other groups conducting different camps.
  • Lend Lease

    American government supplies necessary materials, foods and fuels to allies but stops trading with axis, but still not participating in the war.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Japan surprisingly attacks the naval base of Pearl Harbor. 20 naval vessels, including 8 battleships and over 300 airplanes destroyed. 2500 American civilians died and 1000 were wounded.
  • War bonds

    It's a loan to government to help finance the war effort. People would get 2.9 % interest after 10 years. More than 85 million war bonds were bought by American citizens
  • Philippines

    Japan wins battle in Philippines capturing all the soldiers from the allied powers. 100,000 American and Filipino soldiers and civilians go through the Bataan Death March where only 90,000 survive to reach the prison.
  • Rationing

    Farmers and homeowners practice rationing by changing lawns into gardens and cultivating crops for their own and not buying from shops.
  • Doolittle's Raid

    US performs Air raid on Tokyo causing little to no physical destruction, but 50 people died and 400 civilians got injured.
  • Aircraft Carriers

    US uses Aircraft Carries to attack Mainland Japan for bombing main cities. It became the most valuable in the war. They also use in the island hopping campaign.
  • Coral Sea

    American win a battle against Japanese by destroying 92 aircraft and killing 966 passengers.
  • Island Hopping

    US tries to reach Japan by using the Island Hopping campaign in the pacific. With Douglas MacArthur leading they start with Guadalcanal, then Solomon islands, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
  • Battle of Midway

    US attack and completely destroy the Japanese fleet by ambushing after they got information about them coming in the midway.
  • Sicily and Italy

    Thinking Itlay to be a soft belly allies performs a successful invasion on Sicily but can't go further. Sicily gets captured in August 17. This invasion leads Mussolini's regime to end.
  • Guadalcanal

    After six months of long battle in a small island near Australia allies win against Japanese. 6000 American marines died while only 23,000 Japs died.
  • Operation Fortitude

    Deception strategy to make German army put military personal in wrong spots. Fortitude South and Fortitude North are made to plan an invasion on more vulnerable area like Normandy.
  • Operation Overload

    A battle in Normandy where 28,000 American soldiers die but Allies manage to invade France and defeat Germans.
  • Planned for End of War

    Feb 4-11 Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt meet to discuss on how to end the war and what to do after the war. They discuss on the recognition of Poland, unconditional surrender of Germany and Russia's help to fight against Japan. They also meet at Potsdam conference to discuss about maintaining peace.
  • Tunnels

    American tanks destroys the tunnels and traps all the people inside as 20,000 people get missing here. They use flamethrowers to the people attacking from inside of the tunnel.
  • Iwo Jima

    It's a volcanic island located 759 miles off coast of Japan which was 3 airfields that could serve USA for a potential invasion of Japan so they attack this heavily defended islands which has tunnels that Japanese use to provide supply and communicate.
  • Okinawa

    US invades Okinawa with an ease with only 10,000 casualties on American side while 150,000 Okinawan die in fighting. 34 ships sinks, 368 ships and aircraft damages, and 763 aircraft gets lost of allies. 16 ships sinks, 8000 aircraft and 16 warships destroys and over hundred thousand soldiers die of axis.
  • Rosie the Riveter

    She represents the women working in factory in the time of war. She also inspires and encourages women to work for war and replace men's job. She is also considered as a female icon.
  • Little Boy

    Uranium bomb weighs 9700 lbs causing 63 TJ destruction.
  • Enola Gay

    A Boeing B-29 bomber named after Enola Gay Tibbats is the first aircraft to drop an atom bomb in war.
  • Dropping the Atomic Bomb

    In Aug 9, 1945 Fat man gets dropped in Nagasaki and in Aug 6 Little Boy gets dropped in Hiroshima killing more than 125,000 Jap civilians.
  • Fat Man

    Third atomic ever built. It is made from Plutonium which is 10,300 lbs in weight and causes 88 TJ damage after blasting.
  • Unconditional Surrender

    Japan surrenders after USSR declares war on Japan. With this surrender Japan can no longer have the militaristic government but still have its emperor alive.
