  • Hitler's, "Saturday Surprises"

    Hitler's, "Saturday Surprises"
    During this period, Hitler disregarded the treaty of Versailles. He also began drafting and saying that he was creating an air force. Thhese things made Hitler more popular because he made it look like he was doing it for Germany not himself.
  • Taking Austria

    Taking Austria
    During this time, Hitler wanted more land. He then decided to take over territories that were lost in World War 1. He also wanted control over Austria. He gained control by using euphemism over the austrian government and by taking advantage of Austria's little power.
  • Appeasing Hitler

    Appeasing Hitler
    In this time period, Hitler wanted control over the sudetenland. The Czechs turned to their allies France, Russia, and Great Britain. The prime minister of Brittain attempted to appease what Hitler wanted, but he failed. Then, Mussolini of Italy invited the German, French, and British leaders to a meeting in Germany. The meeting determined that the Sudetenland was to be turned over to the Germans.
  • Death Threats and Broken Promises

    During this time period, Hitler again lied by saying he was making his last conquering of a territory. He also tryed to explain why Germany should only have the dominant races. President Roosevelt also discussed with him the future of countries like Syria who didn't know their futures.
  • Targeting Poland

    During this time, Hitler told a group of nazis to take prisoner to a bordering town of Poland called Gleiwitz to kill them and dress them as polish army men. Then he claimed that Poland was issuing an attack on Germany. Then Hitler declared war with Poland. He was trying to take over another territory!
  • Conquest in the East

    During this time, Hitler forced Poland to surrender.
    he took parts of Poland and called it Warthegau, and he called the rest of Poland, "the General Government of Poland." He put a german man in control of there and he was starting to be very disliked as a leader. The Nazis deported many of the Poles' smartest people to concentraition camps.
  • Conquests in the West

    During this time period, Hitler captured all of Western Europe with the acception of Britain. He also created various governments to run the places he took control over. People tryed to revolt but no one could stop the nazis. The nazis brought the threatning jews and others to concentration camps.
  • The invasion of Russia

    During this time period, Hitler wanted to keep carrying out his plans to destroy the "subhumans." He also invaded Russia to end the " Jewish-Bolshevik menace."
  • The United States enters the war

    In this time period, Hitler started to reevaluete his plans because he could not penetrate the Russians or get them to revolt against the communists. Also, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and the United States declared war with them. Japan then asked Germany for help. Germany said no but declared war on the U.S. by themselves. This caused the Soviets and Britains to join in on the U.S.'s favor to beat Germany.
