Pearl Harbor
On 1941 Japan had air bombed our Naval bases .Twenty-one ships were destroyed or sunk and 2,403 american lives were lost and 1178 persons injured. A couple days later Franklin D.Roosevelt gave his speech. When I watched it he was saying that this was a day that will live in infamy, and something that shocked me we were going to another World War. -
Drafting Day
Today I was sent a letter to be present for what they call drafting. My family is hope and praying that I wont be pick as an American soilder. When I got there all they did was take my weight,height,phyiscal and mental disablities,and physical labor.Physical labor so I guess the can see if I would be good for the army. After that they sent me home, but they said if you get pick that they will send a letter about were to meet at.Guess what I was one of those people to get it. -
Going to Normandy
Going to normandy was an extremely long trip on a boat. I think the trip was about two days long. We couldn't do anything really but play board games or count the clouds.Many people got sea sick -
D-Day
I heard that germany is getting more dangerous by the minute. They also found out that Germany was also killing millions of Jews by the orders of Adolf Hilter. Our General Diwight D. Eisenhower thought of the plan, but our mission had started from Normandy, Germany.IIt's been two days since D-Day and all you can hear is a huge wind of gun fire. Just gald i survied! -
Hitler's Suicide
This is the day when dictator Adolf Hitler had gunshot himself in his bunker with his wife. Many oeople in Germany happy with joy. I remeber when they had told us this after D-Day, we were screaming in joy.Sadly when they told us this news they also said that the Jews weren't yet freed. -
Germany surrendering to Allied forces
One this day Germany ( Allied forces) surrendered to us. Some people say the reason why he killed himself was because of heir dictator dead. I think that it was pretty cool that we did'nt have to go fight them.But sadly this isnt the end of our problems because we still have Japan to fight. -
Freeing Jews from concentration camps
Today was the worst day of my life we saw what the Nazi's did to the Jews in the concntration camps. IT WAS HORRIBLE. The did a whole bunch of crazy things to them such as cooking them experiments, gas chambers, and even hard cold intense labor. I wish we could have came here a lot faster to stop it. -
Atomic Bomb on Japan
The name of the plane called the enola gay which backwards mean alone yag. Hiroshima it self killed about 70,000 to 80.000 people instanly. I heard that you could see it in America but I really didn't pay attention to watch.A couple days later Japan still refused to give up and, that they were going to send another one in Nagasaki.
