    The German Blitzkrieg is when Hitler broke his agreement with Czechoslovakia and attacked them. Hitler attacked Poland after attacking Czechoslovakia by using his new strategy of Blitzkrieg, or surprise attack. This got Hitler more German land that he could rule and take over. Class Notes

    Germany Takes France
    Britain and France declared war on Germany, but didn't want to attack first, so they waited for Germany to attack first. They wanted to declare war on Germany before Germany attacked them because they didn't want to get a surprise attack from them. In the end Germany ended up defeating France and Britain by trapping them in a corner. This got Germany to think that they were unstoppable. Class Notes

    When Germany bombed Britain they dropped a bunch of bombs out of their planes and destroyed a lot of Britain's towns and cities. They decided to do this, so that they could expand their territory further. Even though, they threw a lot of bombs at Britain, somehow, Britain still managed to win this battle and it became the biggest and first loss for Germany. Class Notes
  • War is Declared

    The Soviet Union joins the war now and becomes part of the Allied Powers, so they get their supplies from the US now too. This got the US thinking maybe they did want to join the to fight for the Four Freedoms that FDR spoke to them about. After, the Bombing of Pearl Harbor happened they then decided they definitely had to join the war now. Class Notes

    Lend Lease
    The Lend-Lease was when the US decided to only give out supplies and weapons to their allies. This made them a target for the Germans because they got most of their supplies throughout the war through them. This caused Germany to start playing dirty, they decided to send out U-boats to attack the american trade ships. Class Notes

    The Nazi made a secret plan to invade the Soviet Union. He attacked the Soviet Union with 4 million soldiers which caused a lot of casualties on the Germans part.     After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor they decided to attack the Philippines. They Philippines were able to stand their ground for a few months after they captured their capital city.     Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
    The Ghettos were placed all over Germany so that they could keep the Jews together. The Germans set these ghettos up, so that they could gather up all the Jews to put them in certain concentration camps.     D-Day
    These attack was meant to take down Hitler and his army once and forever. The Allied Powers wanted to kick the Axis Powers off their thrown because they fought ruthlessly and unfair.     There were concentration camps built all over Germany territory to drop Jews. These concentration camps were set up by Hitler to kill Jews because Hitler blamed the Jews for all of Germany's problems.
