    Paleolithic

    The Paleolithic era is when hominids first made tools. The tools they used where made out of rocks which helped in their hunting. The Hunter Gatherers were Nomads meaning they moved around to follow their food sources. Paleolithic people lived and traveled in small groups of no more than 60 people, because traveling in big groups was hard.

    Neolithic

    The Neolithic era began when humans invented agriculture and started creating tools out of metals instead of stone. Neolithic people learned to domesticate animals for their needs. Many Neolithics lived in the fertile crescent because it was great for growing crops. They were not nomadic, they lived and settled down in small villages.

    Ancient Civilizations

    Ancient Civilizations was the study of the major ancient civilisations of the Mediterranean world, including Greece, Egypt and Rome. All of these ancient societies are dealt with in depth, with full coverage of their social, cultural and political histories. The history of these ancient cultures is studied through their written records.

    he was a first century religous leader and preacher who is also the central figure of Christianity.

    Medieval Era

    This was a time of peasants, castles, monasteries, cathedrals, and crusades. Great leaders such as Joan of Arc and Charlemagne were part of the Middle Ages as well as major events such as Rise of Islam and the Black Plague. This included art, technology, engineering, and history. The time after the Romans is "dark" to historians because there was no central government recording events. This is why this was called the Dark Ages.

    The crusades were a conflict because it was a series of wars for religous reasons. Mainly Christians and Muslims because they both wanted to secure control of holy sites that were sacred to both religons

    Tradgedy: Black Plague

    it was a very devastating time in world history because many people were dying and were being effected by this terrible time. It struck during the mid 1300s and started in central asia.

    Reformation/ Renaissance

    The Renaissance began in the cities of Italy, leading to a flowering of art, sculpture and painting. It also swept into Northern Europe but there the circumstances caused it to focus on religion and literature. The invention of the printing press would also enable new religious ideas to sweep across Europe.

    Turning Point: Age of exploration/ colonization

    It was bad because it was started for the wrong reasons which was polotics.The period is characterized as a time when Europeans began exploring by sea in search of , wealth, trading routes and knowledge. Christopher Columbus, an Italian working for the Spanish monarchy, made his first Trip in 1492. Instead of reaching India, Columbus found the island of San Salvador which is what we know as the Bahamas. Colonization was when Spain ruled an Empire based on exploration and labor.

    he was a scientific artist, painter, inventor, and student. he is best known for the art work, Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.

    Christopher Columbus was important because of his discoverys when he sailed across the Atlantic Ocean

    Martin Luther went against everyone and even tho he had his own opinion but he didnt care what the others said and he has a lot of accomplishments.

    Scientific Revolution

    The changes that took place in European society during the Renaissance and Reformation also helped create new ways of looking at the natural world.Philosophers used their power of reasoning and observation to understand the laws of nature.This became known as the Scientific Revolution.This shift of thinking about the natural world that began in the 1500's and departed from traditional religious teachings.Before this most Europeans relied on the bible and philosophers such as Aristotle.
  • Age of enlightenment

    In the mid 1600s, European thinkers began to apply scientific principals to the study of society and government. They believed that reason was the key to human progress and that the scientific methods could be used to solve social problems. This intellectual movement, which reached its peak in the 1700s, it was called the enlightenment
  • Triumph: Industrial Revolution

    The industrial Revolution was a time where many inventions were made such as the Steam Engine,TNT,light bulb, spinning jenny, and use of steel was very important. Industrialization marked a shift to powered,machinery, factories and mass production. The iron and textile industries, along with the development of the steam engine, played central roles in the Industrial Revolution, which also saw improved systems of transportation and communication.
  • Inventor: James Watt

    he invented the steam engine and without the steam engine the industrial revolution probably woudlnt have been as impactful because the steam engine was very important.
  • Political Leader: Thomas Jefferson

    He was an American Founding Father who was the main author of the declaration of independence.
  • Age of imperialism

    Imperialism is the domination by one country of the political, economic, or cultural life of another place. It was popular in Western nations. The acquisition of overseas colonies increased a nations power. The citizens took pride in their countries conquest.
  • WWI

    The world went to war because Austria- Hungary blamed Serbia for the killing of the Archduke in June 1914. They took their chance with Germany's support declared war on Serbia which got Russia involved as allies of Serbia. The archdukes death causes war throughout the world. This form of an alliance system, strong feelings of nationalism, and build up of military lead to the death of the 16 million people.
  • The Lessons

    History is not inevatble because all events unfolded the way they did and they unfolded one after another and kept going.
    Colonization deserves more attention because Christopher Columbus made a big impact because of the many things he explored and the places he found but they were for all the wrong reaons
